On Sunday May 6th, 15 NorEast Riders took part in the Portsmouth Tour De Cure raising a total of $4500 of the total $150,000 raised for the American Diabetes Association and riding the 100 mile seacoast ride. The participants included Samantha Newman, Tom Luther, Jeannie Allyson, Melody Chase, Larry Driscoll, Keith Francis, Adam Genovese, John Healy, Brian Keegan, Tim Metzger, Corey Piscopo, Chris Roundy, Isaac St. Martin, Joe Reagan and Bob Threeton.

Greeted with sunny skies, low temps and a light wind, the group set off at 7am down the coast towards Exeter cutting through the wind in the formation of a bright red locomotive. The pace was kept at a steady 20mph aside from a few bursts of charity ride attacks from some riders who were unexperienced with charity ride etiquette. Feed zones were well stocked with an assortment of cookies, peanut butter and jelly, and crackers although no doughnuts were seen. Throughout the ride, the level of camaraderie was high and everyone was having a great time knocking off the miles. Thanks to everyone who supported our team and donated to our cause!
